Safety Tips

There are certain Dos & Don’ts to follow while purchasing, bursting and storing crackers. A little negligence, ignorance or carelessness can cause serious injury — always celebrate responsibly.

Do’s

  • Follow Instructions: Display fireworks as per the warnings and instructions mentioned on the pack.
  • Outdoor Use Only: Use fireworks only outdoors.
  • Use Branded Fireworks: Buy fireworks only from authorized and reputed manufacturers.
  • Keep Safe Distance: Light one firework at a time. Others should watch from a safe distance.
  • Follow Safety Tips: Always follow the safety instructions printed on each product.
  • Use Agarbatti: Ignite fireworks using an agarbatti or a long-handled lighting stick.
  • Safe Storage: Store fireworks in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Needs Supervision: Always ensure adult supervision when children are nearby.
  • Emergency Water: Keep at least two buckets of water or sand handy in case of fire or mishap.

Don’ts

  • Don’t make tricks: Never attempt to make your own fireworks.
  • Don’t relight: Never try to relight or pick up fireworks that haven’t ignited completely.
  • Don’t carry it: Avoid carrying fireworks in your pockets.
  • Do not use Glass / Metal: Never shoot fireworks inside metal or glass containers.
  • Do not Throw: Never point or throw fireworks at another person.
  • Don’t wear loose clothes: Avoid wearing loose or flowing clothing while using fireworks.
  • Don’t Touch it: After the display, never pick up leftover fireworks — they may still be active.
  • Don’t place near candles: Keep firecrackers away from burning candles, diyas, or lamps.
  • Don’t Drink & Burst Crackers: Alcohol slows reflexes — it’s unsafe when handling fireworks.
